With a style
both representational and photo-realistic, Lenni Hirsh chooses to
focus her artistic attention on children: children she knows, children
she has photographed during her travels, children at play and finally,
with special affection, children on carousels. Using both contemporary
and period styles, Lenni's images range from present day multi-ethnic
youngsters cavorting on lively painted ponies to the prim formality
of Victorian Era children and their families. Lenni is an avid photographer.
Faithful to her background in illustration, she unifies these collected
images to create original compositions that are part imagination
and part realism. Lenni works primarily in oils and pastel. Her
art has earned her many awards.
